Hands From The Heart is proud to be a community-oriented & faith-based organization, where we give back to others throughout the year, not just throughout the holidays.
During the month of December, we are sponsors of the Christmas Gift Program at The Lord’s Pantry in Downingtown, PA, where we donated funds for the pantry to buy crock pots, blankets, various appliances and more as Christmas presents to Chester county recipients.
We were blessed to help The Lord’s Pantry distribute over 120 crock pots, 65 blankets, 20 various appliances and 20 small community gift baskets to families in need.
On Tuesday, December 19th, we donated our time as volunteers to personally see the presents delivered to almost 40 patrons who visited.
The Lord’s Pantry is run by over 100 volunteers who stock, pick-up, and deliver the thousands of donations per month from several community vendors including grocery stores such as Giant, Wegmans and more.
The Lord’s Pantry is close to our owners’ hearts as they used to be volunteer deliverers for the Chester county areas. They would go to the various stores, pick up donations, bring the items back to the pantry, and unload the products with the volunteers for the community to enjoy.
One quote that we would love to share with you all this holiday season is from Mother Teresa, who said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
As the season comes to a close and we look into the New Year, remember how important faith, family and friends mean to you.
We are very thankful for all of our clients, caregivers and employees of Hands From The Heart and we hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year!
